Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment

Rutland County Council Planning Department, along with South Kesteven District Council and South Holland District Council have assessed all the land that could in time be made available for housing in their areas during the period up to 2026.

Each town and village in Rutland has been given a map of these sites and the one below is for Great Casterton which if fully implemented would mean an extra 279 houses in the village.

Rutland County Council do say though that the inclusion of a site on this map does not mean that planning permission will necessarily be given. Each site would need to be tested by submitting planning applications in the usual way.
