These pictures were provided by Mrs Brenda Mackenzie whose mother grew up in Gt Casterton, living there from about 1897 until about 1910. During this time her Grandfather, John Clark, rented a farm from the Burleigh Estate.

GREAT CASTERTON CHURCH SOMETIME BEFORE THE FIRST WORLD WAR. THE MEMORIAL ARCH HAS NOT YET BEEN BUILT. YOU CAN SEE THE ORIGINAL IRON GATES TO THE RECTORY. THESE WERE CUT OFF FOR MUNITIONS DURING THE SECOND WORLD WAR. REPLICAS HAVE NOW BEEN REINSTATED BY THE PRESENT OWNER.
