Thanks for your message. I will ask around. The Church has just had an old pictures exhibition and there may have been something there. Keep an eye on this site.

Hello, Came to Casterton yesterday ,searching my mums uncles grave. He died in 1917 age six of measles. His name was George Buswell. My nans family lived in the village and were labourers, the were a large family, Vicar Ramsey on your site would have done the funeral. I spoke to a very nice and helpful farmer over the road from the church. i would love to know if anyone would have any info on my Great grannd parents and the Buswell family. Thanks Julie

My mother grew up in Gt Casterton, living there from about 1897 until about 1910. During this time my Grandfather, John Clark, rented a farm from the Burleigh Estate.
I travelled there last week end to see where she lived but couldn't locate the building. I have since found a photo of the farmhouse, a large building with a single bay window on the the main road. I have also found several post cards of Great Casterton, one posted on 16 Aug 1908.
I would be very interested to know which farm my mother lived on. If any one is interested in the photos, I will happily send scans.
With best wishes,
BM
