Parish Council Precept 2012

The 'precept' is a sum of money collected through the council tax, which is used by the Parish Council to improve facilities and services for the village.

After reviewing the current finances and allowing for future payments the balance of the Parish Council's fund at the end of the financial year was estimated to be £3557.

The Precept for 2012 was set at £5250. This is an increase of £2250 compared to the Year 2011. The reason for this was to allow for for two additional payments of £1000 to upgrade the streetlights in the village to more energy efficient ones, and so reduce the electricity bill, which the Parish Council pays.
